Institute of International Container Lessors Certification Renewal Recognition Program.
The Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) introduces an escalating certification recognition program in 2021.
The IICL is active in technological, educational, safety, environmental, governmental, regulatory, and security issues. Complementing its widely accepted industry standards and best practices, the IICL offers its inspector certification examinations for containers and chassis in more than 5,000 locations around the world, supported by publications, tools and courses.
The IICL strives to promote education and awareness to safe container inspections and repairs. The IICL inspectors’ certificate are viewed and accepted as a sign of knowledge and commitment to professionalism in our industry.
While celebrating its 50th anniversary, the IICL wants to recognize the commitment of inspectors that persevere in their pursuit to stay up to date and informed of developments and best practices in the container industry.
The IICL certificates are currently valid for 5 years. Inspectors that successfully renew their certificates within 12 months of expiration will be recognized following the status levels shown below for each consecutive renewal. The status level (1, 2, 3, etc.) will be displayed on new certificates and on currently unexpired certificates. Unexpired certificates can be re-printed after logging into the inspector’s account on the IICL web site.
The first certificate will display on the certificate, the first successful renewal within 12 months of expiration will show on the certificate and successively.
